Khadse was replying to a question raised by members Amarsingh Pandit,
Satish Chavan, Dhananjay Munde, Abdullakhan Durrani, Ramhari Rupanwar,
Sanjay Datta and Bhai Jagtap regarding small irrigation schemes of
Maharashtra.
He said that due to funds problem, the government was unable to release earlier subsidies (for two financial years) and therefore "we have not accepted a single case of small irrigation scheme."
"Central funds are yet to be received. We have to complete all the backlog in small irrigation schemes. Now, for this year, we are accepting fresh proposals for small irrigation schemes. For this year, we have demanded Rs 720 crore from the Centre," he added.
