Though Apple is yet to confirm anything about their next iPhone, an
analyst has claimed that Cupertino has already finalised the screen size
of iPhone 6 at 4.8-inch.
According to a Timothy Arcuri of Cowen and Company, iPhone 6 will
feature a larger 4.8-inch display, matching the display size of all the
other larger smartphones currently available in the market.
Arcuri is not the only one suspecting a larger iPhone model from
Apple this year, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securitie
s who is one of the most
respected Apple analysts also claimed last September that a larger
iPhone is likely to be Apple’s pipeline this year, but considering
Apple’s “unwavering principle of one hand use”, it is for sure that the
new device will not exceed 5-inch display size mark.
The iPhone 6, in addition to a larger screen, is rumoured to bring
with it support for zippy Wi-Fi 802.11ac standard, support for which was
added to the Apple Macs in 2013.
Arcuri also reported that the handset maker is planning to come up
with “key software innovations” with its next iOS platform major
release. He expects the new handset to come loaded with iBeacon, Touch
ID and Passbook as part of a push into mobile payments. Read more..
