Rajnath Singh meets Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore

While meeting Teo, the home minister appreciated cooperation from Singapore in the field of security and police cooperation, economic and culture cooperation.

He was accompanied by an Indian delegation that included Indcia's Ambassador to France Arun Kumar Singh, CBI director Ranjit Sinha and Joint secretary in the home ministry Bhagwan Shankar.

The home minister underscored the fact that Singapore is a vital partner for India as its gateway to ASEAN countries."With regard to legal cooperation, Rajnath Singh requested that the pending Letter of Rogatories in Singapore should be looked into on priority," the release said.

The CBI director emphasised on exchange of faculty and training towards capacity building of police officers of India and Singapore. He also proposed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and Singapore on this issue.

Rajnath Singh on Monday left for Monaco to attend the third Interpol ministerial meeting and general assembly, scheduled Nov 3-7, on the agenda "Turn Back Crime: 100 years of International Police Cooperation".
