Kashmir: LeT militant involved in attacks arrested

A police spokesperson said, "Arif Magray alias Sujjee was arrested during an anti-militancy operation from Pulwama district".

The spokesperson further informed that the militant has worked in close association with the terror group  LeT.  Magray, the arrested terrorist, was believed to be involved in a number of attacks, and was also believed to have provided shelter to his companions from the terrorist group.

In a similar raid on September 29, another Lashkar-e-Toiba militant was arrested from the Kashmir valley where security forces busted two ultra hideouts and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition.

The police acted on a tip-off and made the arrest. The alleged terrorist Mohmmad Shafi Dar alias Ukasha, said to be a close associate of slain LeT commander Abdullah Yuni, was arrested from
Sopore area in Baramulla district

" The LeT terrorist is believed to have been a primer in the terrorist group. An AK rifle along with few bullet shells was recovered from the hideout busted in Kashmir,” it was added.

A police source said the recoveries included 10 rocket propelled grenades, four Chinese grenades, 89 AK rounds and some eatables.

Security forces recovered two disposable rocket launchers, three Chinese pistols, two Chinese pistol magazines, three AK magazines and 30 rounds of Chinese pistol ammunition in Handwara, an army spokesman said.
