Maharashtra has failed to keep growth pace with Gujarat: Anandiben Patel

She said the erstwhile Congress-NCP Government failed to provide adequate facilities to industries located in and around Nashik due to which a number of them shifted from here.

Patel invited local entrepreneurs for the "Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit" to be held in Gujarat early next year. The biennial conference was started when Narendra Modi was Chief Minister of Gujarat.

"Maharashtra Government has not provided basic facilities to industries because of which they are shifting their units from here. Nashik has good opportunities to develop," she said, adding "I am inviting you for the summit."

Patel was addressing an election rally in support of BJP candidates in Nashik district last night.

She said in comparison to BJP-ruled Gujarat, the pace of progress of Maharashtra has reduced in the past 15 years, when Congress and NCP governed the State.

Calling upon people to vote for BJP, Patel said "we will provide 24-hour power to farmers and industries, build good roads, ensure adequate water for all, generate jobs and improve education and health facilities."
