Gujarat BJP in-charge Dinesh Sharma holds review meeting

Sharma, who is BJP state in-charge and national in-charge of the party's membership drive, is on a three-day visit of Gujarat to boost the drive.
  
On the first day, he held a meeting with the Gujarat BJP core group at the party headquarters in Koba near Gandhinagar, which was attended by several top leaders, including party national vice president Purushottam Rupala, Rajya Sabha MP Mansukh Mandavia, state minsters Shankar Chaudhari and Vijay Rupani, among others.
  
"Starting from Monday, party leaders will hold zone-wise meetings to boost the membership drive in the state. Ahead of those meetings, Sharma held meetings with key party leaders on Sunday at Gandhinagar to discuss the future course of action," BJP's media convener Harshad Patel said.
  
So far, more than 44 lakh members have been registered by the party through its booth-level drive.
  
"We have covered more than 44,000 booths across the state and enrolled atleast 100 members from each booth. Now, our focus is to enroll members through mobile phones," Patel said.
  
Earlier, it was announced that anybody could join the BJP by giving a missed call on 1800-266-2020.
  
During the meeting, Sharma also stressed on enrolling people from different walks of life.

"Our next step is to make use of mobile phones and reach out to intellectuals, women, educated youth, professionals and businessmen," Patel said.
