Leh coldest place in Jammu and Kashmir

The minimum temperature recorded at Leh, 434 kms from Srinagar, was minus 9.2 degrees Celsius as against previous night's minus 7.2 degrees Celsius, an official at the Meteorological Department said.
  
The night temperature in Kargil, in Ladakh region, also recorded a dip of nearly two degrees to settle at minus 6.2 degrees Celsius.

Pahalgam, the famous hill resort in south Kashmir which serves as a base camp during the annual Amarnath yatra, recorded a drop of nearly four degrees in the minimum temperature which settled at minus 4.4 degrees Celsius as against Sunday's minus 0.8 degrees Celsius.
