New petrol engine to drive Tata Motors sales

 Tata Motors will be betting big on its newly-launched indigenous petrol engine for passenger vehicles, Revotron, to boost sales of petrol cars in the country, said a company's top official.

"At present, only 15% of our total sales come from petrol vehicles (mainly Nano) but with the launch of a new petrol engine this week, we want to come back to the gasoline space. Moreover, with the price difference between diesel and petrol narrowing down, people are shifting towards petrol cars," Tata Motors national sales head (south and east, passenger vehicles business unit) Ashesh Dhar said during the launch of a new variant of its Vista hatchback, Vista VX Tech and a new variant of its small car Nano, New Nano Twist, in Hyderabad.   Read more..
